Compass San Francisco - Coming Soon Feature
What is Compass Coming Soon?
Consumers of real estate data, specifically listings and homes for sale, in San Francisco want an upper hand on what’s for sale, and when new listings will be hitting the market. Today Compass Founder and CEO, Robert Reffkin announced a new feature called Compass Coming Soon.
Reffkin said, “Beginning Wednesday, September 12, 2018 across all regions, Compass agents will be able to list their properties on Compass.com days before they share them with the wider market on the MLS and aggregators.”
How will Compass Coming Soon listings benefit home sellers?
According to Reffkin, “Compass Coming Soons will help our agents get a head start on marketing while still getting the property ready for market. By harnessing the power of pre-marketing, it actually shows up twice in everyone’s alerts — once when it hits Compass.com, and again when it hits the open market, doubling potential exposure.”
Will Compass Coming Soon listings be available on Redfin, Zillow or Realtor.com?
No and yes. Compass Coming Soon listings will be exclusive to Compass.com and to the Compass mobile app for a short period of time prior to the listing going on the open market. Think of the “Coming Soon” listings as getting a sneak peak of homes before they officially go on the market. Once/if the property officially goes on the open market, possibly days or weeks later, through the MLS, the listings will eventually be distributed to Redfin, Zillow, Realtor.com etc.
How can I view Coming Soon listings?
Compass Coming Soon listings can be viewed by signing up at Compass.com or by searching real estate for sale using the Compass app for your smartphone. Download the Compass app from iTunes for free.
Why should Home Buyers use Compass Coming Soon?
With a majority market share of listings in San Francisco, Compass Real Estate Agents will provide San Francisco home buyers with the most off-market real estate opportunities. This will give consumers the upper hand over the aggregator sites such as Zillow, Trulia and Redfin with the newest and most up to date data available.
