Amanda Jones: I'm always drawn to older houses Victorians things that are quirky and I'm thinking about one that I've sold twice and both times both owners have had different supernatural experiences in the house.
Matt Morgus: Where was this house located?
Amanda Jones: The house is right on the edge of the old Laurel Hill Cemetery (San Francisco, CA) and it's pretty significant because a lot of people don't know that that house used to be kind of a gatehouse for the cemetery sometime back in the 1920’s. San Francisco decided to take all of the graves and the departed to Colma.
Matt Morgus: They removed them because why?
Amanda Jones: They wanted to build new housing.
Matt Morgus: Real estate was so expensive, even back then?
Amanda Jones: Exactly.
Matt Morgus: They removed all the gravestones, graves and bodies and this house still remained?
Amanda Jones: Yes, this house was right on the outer edge and basically it was like a little compound. There was a really cool little cottage in the back that you couldn't see from the street and then there were two units in the front and basically for different reasons I've sold it a couple times. I remember the owner saying to me, “Well you know that back cottage I've always felt something was there. Windows have opened and closed, doors have opened and closed, and when you go into basement you get a distinct feeling that something's there. There's a feeling of coldness and I've always avoided the basement.”
Matt Morgus: Coldness? Or like something that's watching you? Or there's just another presence there?
Amanda Jones: I think all of the above. I didn’t hear anything else about ghosts or anything and then I got a phone call a couple years later he decided to sell some more stuff in the building and and there was another transfer of people. Now there are three women in this complex and basically they started experiencing some very unusual events in the basement of the front building and it was really interesting…
